Off to the bike swap meet!!

I left Ft. Boonesborough after visiting and headed North towards Bowling Green, Ohio. I had read there was a swap meet there an annual thing and wanted to check it out for years. It was put on by a local classic bike company that sold parts for restoring old bicycles and even some bicycles themselves. The catalog they had was always at my work bench when I worked at Sarasota cycle. So my opportunity happened and I was headed that way.

I had to drive mostly interstates which I hate, but was the best route. I made it to Bowling green and I stayed in a hotel for two nights. After unloading my bikes in the room, I took a ride to where the swap meet would be. It had started that day so I got a quick sneak peek and headed for something to eat. Bowling Green is a nice little town, it’s home to Bowling Green State University. The main street was really cool, with an assortment of restaurants, bars and shops. I decided to check out Becketts’ Burger bar, nice place and a large menu. After some deliberation I chose a fried Bologna sandwich which was awesome! I headed back to my room.

I got up Thursday and headed to the swap meet. I had brought a few things to get rid of ,so I was ready to go. The swap meet was in a large grass and mud parking lot across the street from the fair grounds. I grabbed my stuff and checked things out. Lot’s of the classic’s from very early bicycles to more 60-80’s bikes and thankfully no E-bikes. Schwinn Sting rays everywhere, I wanted one of each. Only saw one Whizzer, the original motorized bicycle. It was a great time and was able to sell a few things too. One more thing checked off the list. I headed back to the hotel to figure out my next move. Which way to go tomorrow?
